NOVEMBER KEY POINTS

TREND ESTIMATES

  • The trend estimate for veal production decreased for the eleventh consecutive month, to 2,400 tonnes. This was the lowest figure since July 2006.
  • The trend estimate for lamb slaughterings increased for the seventh consecutive month, to 1.9 million. This was the highest figure since records began in July 1979.
  • The trend estimate for lamb meat production increased for the seventh consecutive month, to 40,600 tonnes. This was the highest figure since records began in July 1979.
  • The trend estimate for pig meat production increased for the seventh consecutive month, to 32,600 tonnes.This was the highest figure since November 2005.
